As part of the research project, Labor in Contemporary Art, interviews are conducted with people working in the field of contemporary art such as artists, interns, directors of institutions and translators. These interviews focus on work/labor processes, employment/production conditions and economies operating in the field of art. In the presentation, prominent experiences and issues that emerge from the interviews will be assessed and opened up for discussion.

Önder Özengi is a curator, writer. He curated various exhibitions such as “Relative Position and Conclusions”, Suriye Arcade, 2009, Istanbul, “There Nothing to Lose”,Stærekassen, Copenhagen, 2010. He is writing critics for various magazine, exhibition catalogues and books. Currently working on research project titled “Like a Rolling Stone: Labor in Contemporay Art” with Pelin Tan. Özengi lives and works in Istanbul.
